Jamo 05 September 2012 10:46 AM

Thanks for clearing that up, it's a long way to come to not get in!!
Here's hoping Connor has a fantastic day :)

Stiff 05 September 2012 10:51 AM

IBTL Quick question. Would it take a bit of strain off the marshalls if people had there entry number on show in the front screen or somewhere so they can tick it off and wave the car through without stopping? It might help a little with the flow of entry/gridlock issues. It could be on a bit off card with felt tip or anything really...

Good idea if everyone is going to adhere to it -
However if there's anyone who isn't on the list; it wouldn't be too difficult to put a random number on a piece of paper on the front of your car, and get waved straight through - then causing chaos when the real attendee with that number tries to get in...

I appreciate that most of the attendees have listed their car type (which would help stop gatecrashers) - but not everyone has...
Maybe it'd be best to give the marshalls a list of numbers - with names & car types (possibly even reg numbers...?)

_bodge_ 05 September 2012 11:29 AM

There is going to be cars trying to get in that are not on the list.
Mite have been a good idea to get partial reg numbers next to names or something like that.

Jamo 05 September 2012 11:32 AM

Foxdie is compiling a list and taking a lappy so he can quick search rather than search a huge piece of paper, a few seconds a car...

Jamo 05 September 2012 11:34 AM

LJD yes the organisers have said they have arranged public liability :thumb:

Yeah I'd thought about that but even if they can just cross reference the 'vast majority' by number/car make it would ease an awful lot of time stopping every single car coming through. That would make one hell of a gridlock.

Cool !

Liz N Daz Brooks 05 September 2012 11:57 AM

As an idea. Before the thread/list gets locked, it would be good if the final list be put on as i know with the few list cock ups/mistakes i have had 2 numbers.

That way everyone can have there correct number and make life a little easier for the marshalls ???

Jackmcl 05 September 2012 11:57 AM

Jamo - your link for the free sim card isn't working for me bud - I could do with a UK sim card for when i come over...

Jackmcl 05 September 2012 12:08 PM

Thanks Jamo - done!
