How much should a joiner charge an hour?

How much would a joiner charge for a day rate to fit an oak floor? Based in lincs?

£100-£125 in the current climate. To be honest you would probably be better getting a price for the work. Any will be able to do that.

Should say that is a day rate. Not many will work on hourly rate.

It was nearer 140/150 in the midlands prior to the recession. I have chippies that will now work for 85 a day  we have at least 3/4 a day calling at our site looking for work. You get what you pay for though and if its an expensive oak floor you are better off paying someone good to fit it properly.

rates this time last year were good but because of the way thing are your up against it just got to take what out there hopefully thing will pick up in the new year good joiners should not have any problems getting £150 per day but sometimes you've got to do it for less depends how much you need the money
