WRX STi 2003 Service C parts recommendations

Hi guys...yes, my first post....and unfortunately a question.

I am getting a friend to service my 03 Wrx Sti type UK for me. It will be a C service. I have listed the parts below and would be happy if you guys can suggest the best parts/consumables I should use.

Air filter - K&N suggested
Oil filter - UFI oil filter from Opieoils suggested
Sump plug washer - Subaru supplied I guess
Fuel filter - Not needed for C service on STi apparently
Engine oil - Mobile SYNT 5 5w-40 as suggested on Opieoils site
Brake fluid
Coolant - Subaru supplied
Spark Plugs - Iridium or platinum ?

If there's anything missing, would be great if you can let me know....

Thanks very very much in advance. I was hoping to go out and pick up the parts tomorrow.

If you get it serviced at a well-known specialist e.g. ZEN, RCM, API, etc, etc then they'll fit the correct service items anyhow.

You really won't be saving yourself much coin by trying to accrue the items beforehand.

All filters should be genuine OEM Subaru branded ones - don't be tempted by so-called 'performance' items from K&N, A'PEXi, et al. The genuine ones WORK, and work WELL!... which is pretty important really. ;)

Thanks very much Joz....Will swap the K&N for Subaru filter...popping out to get the equipment now

LOL. Ironically the air filter will be fine (apologies about that).

I should have been more specific :brickwall... only use gen. Subaru OIL and FUEL filters. :lol1:

;)

I am going to have to tell my mechanic mate he can't work on the Scooby. My local Scooby service centre doesn't sell the brake, gear and differential oil so might as well call around and get service done by the specialists (but non-Subaru dealer).

Do you know any in Essex or Greater London?
