AMAZING DAY :)

I would just like to say a HUGE congratulations to everyone involved in making today happen, you all need to give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back, the event ran very smooth and considering it was planned in such little time it was very well organised:luxhello: Also well done to everyone who attended, there was a good variety of cars in all shapes & sizes.. the car community done good! We have really enjoyed every minute and proud to be able to participate in such a heart warming car meet, to make the day even better the weather was on side too :)

Most of all well done to the main man Connor who had the biggest smile ever possible and did some awesome car judging! :):)

Today has been a day that we will cherished in our hearts forever and we are so thankful to have been given the chance to be a part of it. :luxhello::luxhello::luxhello:

Thanks to all involved today - WELL DONE, pat yourselves on the back, it all looked to be going well

Hope Connor and his family have had a day to remember, we definitely had a good day, lots of lovely cars to gawp at, nice run home over the tops, we put some money in the buckets as somehow we missed the raffle.

I will put a link up to my photos later tonight, early tomorrow ;-)

To see Conners face light up, is something i will never forget, An amazing day by a lot of Amazing people.
You moved heaven and earth to make this happen, and to organize this level of entries from the basic idea to this show, in just over a week, is truly astounding.
Well done to everyone that made this happen.
It was a privilege to be part of this very special day.

WOW!!!!!
Just got home. 260 miles, and £80 worth of super unleaded later....

What an awesome turn out, and over all what an excellent day.
No trouble, no moaning, no queueing, no parking issues, sunshine and tons of amazing cars to look at. Everyone really needs to be proud of what was achieved today.
Huge shout to all the marshalls, we turned up and got in straight away. It was all very slick and well organised.
Ive got tons of photos to sort through and upload, but in the meantime, for everyone who was'nt able to make it here is a group shot that was taken around 1:20pm.
This is not everyone who was there! The turn out was amazing!!

I knew there would be tons of photos being taken, so I kept my fish eye lens on to make mine slightly different, it was rather handy for taking the huge group shot :)

One more before I sort the rest out.
This was taken just after the group shot and I managed to grab it as I was walking back down the fire escape just as Connor had got into the Ferrari.
His Dad's face was an absolute picture, and I don't mind admitting I had a tear in my eye

What a cracking turn out, stunning weather, and a really good atmosphere -well worth the drive- got a bit lost on the way home:confused: but found a stunning road in the progress;)

My best wishes and thoughts to connor and his amazing family:thumb:

Fabulous turn out, well done to all who came (and also those that wanted to come but didn't) and all the people who did the organizing.
Hope Connor enjoyed a truly special day:thumb:

Wonderful turnout, great weather, what a fantastic event. Congratulations to a successful day. Keep the pictures coming! It was wonderful to have attended this. Very organized and well run, especially for the short notice. It was absolutely amazing to see the wide range of people and clubs that made it out to this.

A big thanks to Jamo and Marietto for helping me get situated with a ride from Newcastle.

My thoughts and prayers are with Connor and his family. My hat's off to you.

What an awesome collection of cars and people.

Didn't approach but did see Connor trying to pinch a black GTR but had clearly forgot his booster seat :-)

Unbelievably well organised considering how quickly it's been setup.

Emmaroids 08 September 2012 07:22 PM

Amazing day, was an honour to be there. Connor was beaming every time i saw him,was nice to talk to his dad. Have to say a massive thanks to all the organisers too, they did an awesome job. I'll wack photos up later. My thoughts to such a brave little boy and his family.

Hi everyone , I've just got home and sat down and and reflected on the day
Never in our wildest dreams did we expect this much response and support and now to top it off the event has been brilliant
Everyone involved has had there fingers crossed so tight you would not believe
I would like to say a massive thankyou for all the support and a perfect turn out today
And also a massive thankyou for all the folks that helped to get the show together (you
know who you are)
This has been the most heartwarming coming together from members of the car community I have ever seen
You've all made connor and his family's day
And it's been a total honour to have been involved

Yet again a huge thankyou to everyone :)

Tony

Scoobynet you have done yourself and the car community proud, what a fantastic day, well marshalled and organised, and well natured by all involved. Conner looked to be having a whale of a time.

I Particularly liked the Lola that turned up....very nice.

Well done to all.

wr pete 08 September 2012 07:44 PM

Thank's to all who organised this for Connor, it was nice to see he had a great time, you should all be proud of what you managed to acheive in such a short time. I didn't get my car in and I was on the list but no worries it was easy enough to park round the corner and my kids and I had a great time.

Thank's again everyone :thumb:

silverscooby29 08 September 2012 07:44 PM

what were the raffle numbers i had to leave before they were drawn .. awesome day and an absolute awesome turn out well done to all the organisors.. my only gripe is a few of our club me included got parked out in the back of beyond n not with our club ukscoobies

samuelellis 08 September 2012 07:49 PM

We did all we could to try and get people parked together but we just started running out of space and had to put people where we could

dest 08 September 2012 07:52 PM

I fail to see how anyone could have anything to moan about today.
I was parked in a far away corner, but it was hardly an issue.
All that mattered today was that Conner had a good day, and I'm pretty certain that he did judging by the look on his face :D

madman-Adam 08 September 2012 07:55 PM

great day out. thanks to all for being patient while we tried to sort out parking. we had a lot less room than anticipated. there were a few worries when we got there and found lorries in situ and carparks closed off to us.
but we managed to pull it off and hopefully everybody got parked up somewhere and had a walk around.

I'll second that was a great event given the circumstances and timescale to get it sorted.

Tone, Hope you made it home with that dodgy map:D
