Default Just bought a 335d Touring...

I know I'm not actually on here any more but thought a few might be interested.

Just taken delivery of a 56 reg, 16k mile, Sapphire Black (metallic) Touring 335d SE with 17" star alloys (that look great), Terra Dakota leather, panoramic sunroof and the most comical diesel engine I've ever had the pleasure to experience!

Got it for an absolute bargain from Sytners of Leicester - bought it blind and had it delivered this morning. Rather nerve racking but it was a risk worth taking - it's absolutely mint, has newish tyres and is unmarked. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a used BMW.

It's a proper sleeper - just the fat rear tyres (255), twin exhausts and badge give it away.

Bye bye Astra!

Oh and I'm liking John's new GTR VERY much!

Okay, I'm off again. Cheers all!

I'm glad it turned out OK, but I would always reserve on the phone with a deposit or card details subject to agreed condition, and then go and look before getting it delivered as so many BMW AUCs turn out to be sheds despite the descriptions on the phone. Enjoy the torque

Wheels are too small and they're run-flats.

Spider - the drive is superb. The 50/50 weight distribution is very apparent, it feels rock solid and the steering is spot on. Brakes have tonnes of power (maybe not enough for a track but more than enough for the road) and it just feels so well screwed together.

The real thrill is from using it in semi auto - it's bloody quick. And practical too!

Nat - not driven far enough to tell properly but dipping very slightly under 40mpg at the moment.

A few camera phone pics with tragically poor number plate erasing...

It came with a roofrack - now taken off but very handy.

Very nice!

I found the Sytner (I used the Leicester branch) service to be totally first class.

Good luck!

dpb - 5 series a lot heavier, slightly down of power and a bit odd looking for me but still like them! Having a LOT of fun at the moment!

dpb - the inlaws had a 535d Touring and it was definitely a bit slower -but still quick. The 5 also comes with i-drive which I utterly hate - no i-drive on mine - woo hoo! For some odd reason it's (535d) about 10-15 down on both bhp and torque - maybe it's geared differently?

I'm also 34 not 54...!

Piling a few miles on and liking it more and more. Can be used as a "normal" car quite happily then slip it into semi auto and let rip. It even sounds pretty good.

Corrado - better get used to it first but maybe...
