Default VW Touareg

Anyone here got a Touareg?

Thinking of getting this for the wife, wondering if it is good on fuel or bad..

Any thoughts?

Thanks looks good just bid on it

It's an import with no history so first thing i'd be doing is to look into making sure it's not registered as stolen. Plus he's just had it MOT'd so i'd be wanting to see the list of advisories in case there are large bills coming up and that's why he is getting shot of it.

Parents bought a new one in late 2007 and ran it for a few years with not many problems if i recall.
The major flaw was the cars ability to eat tyres, first set only lasted 7k, other than that decent car.
Sold with 30k miles (approx) so cant comment on long term reliability.

yeah I was going to say I think they have a reputation (along with the Q7) of eating tyres

And if they are anything like the Passat tdi Sport I had a fortune to repair even the basics like clutch or radiator and so being their luxury 4x4 i'd hazard a guess a lot more expensive than the Passat was.
