It's annoying that Shell feel it's necessary to position the diesel and petrol V-Power pumps side by side in almost identical liveries, a big mistake waiting to happen.

Been there and I can confirm the diesel nozzle fits into the neck on an early classic import :/ I put 20 quid in before I even noticed.

I have to admit when I put it in my 530d I see a difference in performance, it's not huge but it accelerates better.

Cetane value is different. But I'd be damned if I can tell if there is any difference. Bearing in mind you can get additives to improve cetane values.

Especially consider diesel differs between winter and summer diesel..you should be able to feel the difference in performance between the seasons. Do you ever see anyone moaning at differing performance/economy between summer and winter?

Considering that on the Internet there is a group of people that add two stroke oil and notice a difference and another bunch who don't, and not to mention the refined veg oil burners who say it works great with another load saying steer well clear means that this is a very subjective topic with very little hard facts.

FWIW I don't use it.
