If the sound synthesiser is exactly the same as in the GTI......... It's sound truly awful.

Unfortunately you can't turn it off while having the sharpest throttle response. I had to leave the engine map in normal.

However, thankfully, Audi decided not to include the cr@p sound thingy in the S3.

From what R owners are saying, it is possible to turn it off. I really didn't like it when I took a DSG for a test drive, but I guess that if you've never driven a car with a real exhaust note, it could sound OK ;-)

Can be turned off or adjusted by dealers. I personally don't even notice it much?
After jumping out of the Scooby twin scroll howler, into the Golf R, I dont even register the slight noise from the Golf! lol
