in the initial days its a plug in Box Maz as they had not cracked the ECUs, so yes i just plug it in to 4 sensors and off i go.
The stage 2s as far as i know from RENNtech are proper ECU maps now, Rebellions i think is still the box.
Weistec in the USA and MSL in brum now MAP the ECU direct which i do believe is best, however because the cars expensive having the Plug in box kind of negates the Warranty issue that could be had should MB detect a proper MAP, don't get me wrong though they can also prob detect a box if they wanted to... but so far none have been.
i,ll never go to 460BHP, the cars aggressive enough with the 400+ one. that 460 1 must be mad.

Luke knows as far as i know Shaun, if you see his advert its LTD and he did say why in one of the Aclass posts....
luke dos not Waffle....let me see if i can find it
Ive pinged him to ask in more depth.
this was his reply, but how i don't know
Our Stage 2 is a part of our coming "track package", the transmission will not handle more without further modifications.
However, if sold as a "racing product" not covered by our warranty, we can bring the torque up to 585Nm or even more on 102 RON Octane fuel.

Peak figures mean diddly. Put some real performance figures up, like in-gear times, and then we can better see if those peak figures actually relate to anything good.
The majority of the tuning world and owners, are all bent out of shape about peak figures. I know of at least one individual who has thrown around £4k at his A45 (tuning box, inlet kit, full decat exhaust, gearbox tune and throttle response tune), with a reported output of over 450bhp. Thing is, his VBOX times are not that much better than mine - and I only have a £500 Litchfield Tuning Box!
Even though this is an area that I know Litchfield want to test and develop, I don't really want to change my inlet or exhaust, until I've proved that I need to.
Like they say..... the bull**** stops when the flag drops!

I'll have a nosy; one vid shows a tuned M135i blitzing a V10 R8 but it's not very scientific.
With the six pots standard flat torque curve peaking at 1300rpm, I suspect the tuned ones are pretty useable; Litchfield is developing an M235i; almost the same car.

Matt,
I'm not saying it's untrue (well.. I am lol), but I've had a look at both dyno runs on the net from standard cars and tuned ones (even from tuners). I'm yet to come across one that shows peak torque that low down.
What "tests" are you referring to?

Evo, Car mag, etc; pretty sure they all state it. Also fastestlaps.com, BMW website, etc.
Didn't think you disbelieved me (!), it's just fairly common knowledge!

Matt,
They're only stating what the manufacturers are stating! The reality based on all the dyno graphs I've seen, tell a totally different story. That's all I'm saying.

Matt,
Take this with the humour that is meant...... but you can read a dyno graph right?
Peak torque is being achieved at 3200rpm.... so yeah, it proves my point succinctly. Although I suspect that run was not loaded correctly.
You do realise my comments about this, have been about the RPM point you quoted.... not the torque figure.
P.S. In fact I've just read my posts back, and I made the point twice.

Okay, fair enough but this is what Evo says about the newer LCI model:
The peak torque output of 332lb ft is delivered from just 1300rpm, which is unchanged from the previous model.
As do many other mags. I haven't taken it as far as dyno-ing but whatever it actually is, it pulls like a bar steward from almost idle. There is not a single moment when pushing it when you wait for the revs to rise before getting that turbo kick. It's there all the time, every time.

Thread title: "A45 owners: show us your rides!!" Eight pages and only two owners have actually posted a photo (and only a solitary one, for that matter) of their A45... and they were both on the first page!
Have you got any more piccys, Shaun? If so, I'd like to see them!
Thanks,
Uncle C

I wrote a big post about how my A45 is a much better experience than 15 years of driving Subaru's but the forum logged me out and trashed the post so TLR
Subaru = Old Skool and are well out the loop both quality and tech
A45 = WIN
My new car.

A picture of an A45!!! And even more impressive is you've made one of your only-every-three-and-a-half-year posts!!!
You don't see many in silver with the aero kit. Very nice!
