Default New car tommorrow

Well after almost 2 years of owning what was my realistic dream motor to own in the Focus RS, tomorrow i will be getting rid in exchange for a new car. Loved every minute of it but when modified with stiffer springs & exhaust etc the wife has complained non stop. So since i turn 40 on Saturday im treating myself to a brand spanking A45 AMG. Im like a kid at Christmas

That's three A45s I make it on here now.

Would be very interested to know how it compares to the Focus RS, which is reckoned to be a great drivers car.

Well tbh the reason I put the car up for sale is because we're expecting a sick child and I'm reducing my working hours to do further study, and truthfully I doubt I'll be finding the time to drive it. So the plan is not to replace it with anything.

But, having driven the competition I don't feel they offer anything above and beyond what the Cosworth offers, or at least nothing that matters to me. And for that reason my heart is telling me to keep hold of it unless someone gives me a good price for it.

I've been hugely tempted by the Cayman GT4 but £65k plus optional extras plus whatever else I'd have to pay on top to secure one is too much for me to justify at the moment.

A45 Amg

Must admit I keep on staring and reading about these cars more and more

I did say I would never want to own a Merc to I get To the magic 50 though
And I become sensible but a Amg with the roof spolier and if course racing stripes

Mmm

The A45 is the full on chav fest if you spec it appropriately........ don't worry, you won't have to wait until you're 50.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again....... it's what the current Subaru should have been, as an overall package.

I cant compare it to the RS as at the moment im supposed to be running it in. The stats for the A45 dont lie, its obviously a very fast car. The RS used to get some admiring glances and first impressions are that the A45 will get even more. Yesterday i could lip read a bloke say "f**k me" and a young lad also walked into a lampost while staring.

Exactly I think if Subaru has actually put some Dev time into the new ones engine it would have been a differing story for me.

I would go as much to say if they dropped a 2l 400 bHP forged block in and said it would be 33k I may be tempted...sub 200 emissions 30plus mpg

I've seen one in black with the spoiler and it did look great. They're great looking cars anyway but the black is defiantly more subtle than red IMO.
