Thumbs up Richie Havens

Has died at 72. I expect he was too long ago for you fresh faced youngsters on SN to have heard him but his blues guitar gave me a lot of pleasure, so thank you Richie.

Best known for his opening 3 hour stint at Woodstock (1969) when all the stars were stuck in traffic or too high to find the place

Put 12 string playing on the map - "Freedom"

Being a bit of a record collector Ive got a few of his lp's, Stonehenge sticks out for me, you are right though his Woodstock set was great and im only in my 30's....RIP Ritchie.

Dont forget Jimi Page's 12 string version of white summer from '67 when he was with the yardbirds
