Default Eating challenges in the UK

Right, I'm starting to get sick of my diet, luckily there is only 7 days to do till I'm off it. With that in mind I have been looking for eating challenges to celebrate the end of it.

However, I have hit a snag, the 32 oz steak challenge my friend found in mayfair is not what it seems to be.
http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/52/15262...akhouse-London
There is a challenge and there is a 32oz steak, but if you finish it it's not free I know cos I've just got off the phone with them and they said I would get sample whiskeys, but no freeness. Boo. On the upside, they did offer me the option of going for anything up to 49oz for their steaks (and pay 60 quid for the privilege!) Freeness is one thing, but challenges would be met by each other, so if anyone is willing to go head to head with me, then I'd happily accept. First to finish or last to throw in the towel wins!

However, for GENUINE, 100% freeness if you finish the meal, we'd need to take a trip to bolton. Specifically to Mario's cafe, for Mario's big breakfast challenge
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/leisu...ast_challenge/
It only costs 10.95 as well, but only if you cant finish it in 20 minutes! If I ever find my way up there then I WILL be having this, but I will be eating nothing a drinking stupid amounts of water for 24 hours before I do!

What I really find upsetting is I could only find 1 (just the one!) genuine 'immense amount of food and if you eat it it's free' challenge in the UK. In the US there are hundreds, but in the UK there is one. A sad state of affairs does anyone know of anymore that exist? Adam from Man V. Food has inspired me and I want to get some food of colossal proportions in my diet.

Oh wow, I've found more

Champs on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield does something. They're calling it the chicken wing challenge or something - 100 wings, 3 hours (costs about £22), and if you finish it you can eat free for a year!

I could EASILY do this!

Let me know if you go to marios's, I'll come watch! Me and my mates tried it after a stag do in Bolton and out of ten rugby lads who'd had between 8 and 22 pints on the Friday night, No-one won!!! I couldn't drink for 2 hours after the brekkie!

We all tried to finish a 32 oz. steak in Canada when we had just come off a survival course in the Bush for 10 days without any significant food available except what we could catch. Trouble was, the animals knew very well to keep away from where they held the survival courses! They were no fools

Not one of us could finish the steak because our stomachs had contracted so much during the course, so we all had to pay!

The place selling the steaks knew the score as well and that they were 100% safe with the challenge!

Biggest single sitting meal I ever did was a 50 oz rump at a place called the Highwayman in South Wales. Came with chips and all the trimmings washed down with guiness imported from Dublin by the owner.
Felt like Mr Creosote afterwards mind-luckily I didn't go for the 'waffer thin mint' afters
They used to do a special calle the condemned mans meal-from memory it was a 32oz t bone, pork chop, sausage ,bacon and all the trimmings-did a few of them too
cheers richie

Not sure if the The Kestrel Inn, Hatton, Derbyshire still exists, but a 200oz steak is probably just a little too much

Gentlemen, we have a winner!
http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-...00909415394232

Next week I will be attempting the Jolly Fryer's world famous "super scooby" burger.

Full report coming soon, but if I should not live through the attempt, I want my intestines used to further medical science

That looks quite easy to be honest. Just break it into two and its not much of an eating challenge.

Hooters in Nottingham do all you can eat chicken wings for £7 on Mondays if your anywhere near there?

I've done 50 wings in Hooters in Cancun split with a mate and I went dizzy on about 28. They were big wings though.

I've also been enjoying Man v Food, got it on series link on Sky+. Some nice food on there

You lot are pussies compared to the diminutive 5'5", 7 stone South Korean Sonya Thomas aka. the Black Widow, her records are:

5.75 pounds of tempura deep fried asparagus spears in 10 minutes
11 pounds of Downtown Atlantic cheesecake in 9 minutes
80 chicken nuggets in 5 minutes
183 chicken wings in 12 minutes
46 three ounce crabcakes in 10 minutes
65 hard boiled eggs in 6 minutes and 40 seconds
4 pounds, 141⁄4 ounces of Wegman's Fruitcake in 10 minutes
206 gyoza in 10 minutes
7 burgers (3/4 pound "Thickburgers") in 10 minutes
9 pounds of crawfish jambalaya in 10 minutes
44 lobsters totaling 11.3 pounds of lobster meat in 12 minutes
38 Moonpies in 8 minutes
46 dozen Acme Oysters in 10 minutes(2005)
29 dozen ACME Oysters in 8 minutes (2009)-Louisiana oyster season produced much larger oysters in 2009 explaining the slower pace -reclaimed the World Oyster Eating title
6 extra large Bocce pizza slices in 15 minutes
23 pulled pork sandwiches in 10 minutes
43 soft tacos in 11 minutes
250 tater tots in 5 minutes
73⁄4 pounds Turducken.com Thanksgiving Dinner in 12 minutes

I have no idea where it all goes!!! one for the scientists at CERN looking for black holes.

There's a place not far from me called the Haxey Gate Inn, in one of the villages between Scunthorpe and Doncaster (turning off M180).

They do a 32oz rump steak with trimmings for £16.95. Me and the Mrs had one as a challenge to each other on our first night out alone since our boy was born. Now bare in mind I'd had normal breakfast and dinner and one poo all day; I put back the steak, the trimmings, extra beans and pepper sauce for the steak and tried to have a go at Nats steak too (she ate about 1/4 of her plates worth). I've NEVER felt so full in all my life and felt awful for the next 16 hours or so until I did a huoooooj poop. About 3 1/4lbs we worked it out as I'd eaten.
