Cost per Sq Meter of block paving (mono blocks) ??
Anyone had this done recently?
Needing 100Sq Mts done just now. I can buy the materials for 20 per sq Mtr but would need to do it myself obviously.
Whats the cost of companies to come in and do it do you know???

just ring some companies up and get some quotes. Should get a good price at this time of year.
It used to be about £50 per sq. metre but should be alot cheaper these days.

For a decent job ,with a proper 6-8 inch sub-base expect to pay around 75-80 pound per square metre .
Anyone who can drop on it tomorrow for you ,avoid !!
What area are you in ??

Always be prepared to wait a few weeks for a decent builder.
At least 6'' of type 1 hard core should go down first, expect between £60 - £90 for a decent job any thing less that £50 per m2 then it's your problem!

Not 100% true ^ it would be stupid to say the most expensive is going to do the best job.
If you can ask the guy what jobs have you done and even go and have a look at his work its best.

If i paid more than £5k for that work i'd be seriously p**sed off.
Over estimating on everything including 3 men taking 4 days with machine hire, if they have their own machine which you would expect with people that are doing driveways for a living it would be less but only a couple of hundred max. With 25% of cost on top i'd be looking at £4k max with a good profit, as a general rule you'd price and add 10%-15%, but then everybody prices different
This obviously would depend where you are based, this is for ooop norf in Yorkshire.

The area will be hard standing and ready to put down the sand and lay the blocks on as I am doing the majority of the pre work as I am extending the drive etc etc, so as I say, just arrive start straight away. I was hoping it would be 30-35 a sq meter. If not I will do it myself for 20 a meter plus my time.

Just booked the job to be done by Borderways from the Scottish borders.
Approx 4K with all the drains, kerbs etc etc.
I know the companies work is good, so thats the main thing. Price is in the region of what I wanted to pay.
Happy days!
Thanks to you all for the input as it backed up my thoughts to begin with.
Regards
Jamie

Job complete.
Had to work flat out last weekend getting the base dug out and prepared for the guys starting on Monday past.
Saved a few bob by doing the ground work myself.
Think the result is good.
Monday saw the drains and kerbs put in and Tue, Wed and a half day Thu saw the blocks laid and job completed.
Should have done it years ago and got rid of that bloomin' gravel!
Total cost, I guess its about 6K by the time I add in machine hire and materials plus the company to lay and supply the blocks.
