Insurance Claim!!!
My wife reversed and scraped the bumper of a colleages car at work. My wifes car is fine but the other vehicle has slight damage to the bumper probably needing a respray. Does anyone know if my wife will have to pay her excess or is this only if she had damaged her car and claimed to repair hers?

There will also be a claim on her record/policy. This will bump up next years (And following 4 years') premium. If only slight damage, then maybe pay for respray ouot of her pocket, could be cheaper in the long run. Depends on the other car and cost to sort it out.

if possible get chips away out to do it. I had my car reversed into and I have organised for the paintwork to be done. The guy who reversed into it is paying on his card. I dont want to go through the insurance as they will class it as a claim. The cost of the repair is £75+Vat. far cheaper than what they would do to my premium.
