Crazy huh?

The smell and all those little bugs that hover around in the warm sun made it feel literally like a late summers evening. Has anyone else fired up their mower?

Our issue is that grass stop growing for winter when the air temp drops below 5 degrees. Which has only been a couple of times here in tropical Bedfordshire....

I have a foot long grass growing in my gardens. I've been told NOT to get our local handy man to mow it at least until March, because cutting the grass right now can ruin it.

Is that right?

Grass is almost impossible to damage, if it's not frosty and dry enough to cut you can cut it, that comes from a farmer with many years of managing grass.

Ok, thank you very much, eggsandcherry. I should bear it in mind and get it cut as long as it's not frosty and wet out there.

Cut my lawn today, the wind dried it off enough to get it done, looks much tidier now

Ground still really wet here, have been wanting to do it for a few weeks as is pretty long. may power the mower through it if we get a few days with no rain.

Annoys me when its not tidy, cut it a couple of times a week in the summer.

Before you know it, you'll whole garden will be littered with ornaments and tacky trinkets!

My garden (if you'd call it that) is completely bare. It's basically like a small paddock with a failed flower bed in the corner . Maybe in the summer I'll make more of an effort......

I am afraid when you have as many children as I have, cluttering up the garden is somewhat inevitable.

we have some sections of the top garden as a playground (it actually has a large wooden fort now as well!!)

and rest assured I have better things to do than hide or plant trinkets around the garden

(apart from bunny trails that's is)
