Hearing Aids
Hi all,
I thought about asking the scoobynet massive about hearing aids.
When someone has hearing aids on (over the ear), and when you talk to them, I can hear my voice, like an echo of what I have said.
Is this because the ear mould is not in correct?, or is it normal for hearing aids?
Im going to phone the HSS tomorrow about it, as thought I would ask on here, whilst im surfing on scoobynet
thanks
Ian

Never heard of that before. Perhaps you're shouting too loud to get through them due to them being deaf, hence the echo?? Or, their hearing aid might be defective and instead of absorbing the sound it's echoing it back? Too much reverb?? I don't know. Seriously I hope it gets sorted in their and your favour.

If they aren't fitted tidy or you hold them in your hand they should whistle quite loudly. My son has worn them since a baby as is profound Echo is not something I have experienced and sounds like they need adjusting in all honesty. Moulds should sit flush and firm but not be uncomfortable. Have you got the new molds with cut outs ? What make are your aids ?
