Fireworks
What you got planned for this year?
Been a long time since I've set off a few but thinking of a little back garden display this year as my eldest (3 1/2) seems to appreciate them. Not an armageddon job but probably a few fountains, rockets, catherine wheels etc. for a bit of fun.
Any bargains to be had?

I bought some packs of about eight really big Roman candles from Costco, about £11 a pack.
Let some off the other night and they were quite impressive for what works out at about £1.35 per firework. I'm going to pick up some more tomorrow.

Still can't believe in this day and age that they actually sell fireworks to pretty much anyone. Should just be organised displays in my opinion...

Used to love it when I was a kid. Bonfire in the back garden, cathrine wheels nailed to the shed, rockets in milk bottles, bangers, jackie jumpers and roman candles that had wooden handles so you could hold them. Only ever got burned once and that was by a little sparkler

Bought a selection box from The Range, £20 for 32 fireworks including a few rockets. Should be enough to entertain my little ones this year and if they like it then I can get some more extravagant stuff the next time. Must say some of the "cakes" they had in there were huge. Would like to set one of them off one day
