Well done - keep it up 
Stopped last May. Tried an "E" but made me cough so just did without.
Now mildly addicted to Nicotine Lozengers but I suppose that's better than the real thing

Quit since 3rd jan! Used elites from highest mg to lowest mg in a month and been off since! But only smoked for 10years!
Find I get cravings still, and some situations all I can think of is ciggi! Haha but mind over matter!
Good luck with the cleaner smoking side!!

My wife has been using one for about 4 months and hasn't touch one cigarette. More impressive is my mother has been a 60-a-day hardened smoker for longer than i can remember, she started vaping 2 months ago and has kept with it, that's inspiration for anyone right there!

Tell you what though, I'm totally addicted to Vaping. Spent a small fortune on different batteries and atomisers, even bought a magnifying glass and a gas burner so I could rebuild the coils.
Yes, SteveBT, they will be controlled and that's a good thing, but not in public, just in places where smoking is banned. It's pretty awesome right now though, I vaped on the plane all the way to Mexico and back with permission from the crew and right now I'm vaping in my hotel room leaving nothing but the smell of Gummy Bears.

I did much the same, tried E-Cigarettes but soon realised I was actually getting much more nicotine from them than I had been from my roll ups so moved on to the lozenges. Extra Strong Mints are doing a good job of weaning me off the lozenges but I don't half get through them
I'm thinking of Polos to get off the Extra Strong ones

My take on nictotine is its like alcohol. If you are addicted, well, you're addicted.
Its better than cigarettes. Not as good as giving up totally.
Smoking killed my grandad
And it caused my Uncle's fatal cancer.
Pretty certain it had somthing to do with my other grandad's throat cancer (survived that only to be killed by a undiagnosed kidney infection...nice one NHS
)
Its also killing my Grandma now
Sure, long term alcohol abuse killed my dad too (also my aunty). So yeah, I am aware that any addiction has its consequences. But if it can be offset or reduced and not affect third parties, it is an improvement, isn't it ?

Lol, for your info i smoked 20 a day for 24 years, so id say i know pretty much what its like to be addicted.
I gave up, remember those two words "GAVE UP" smoking 14 years ago,
so no longer addicted to nicotine,
When your a smoker, you don't give a toss about the health risks , nothing comes between you and your hit of nicotine.
All you've done is removed the dangerous bit, so you can get your hit of nicotine risk free, your still addicted to nicotine.
Also do you really know whats in the cocktail of stuff your vaping?
do some research on whats been found in some of the products on offer ..
diethylene glycol ... hmm thats used in anti freeze & nitrosamines there carcinogenic btw,
Likewise the concentrations of nicotine found in the refills.
Spill a few drops on your fingers, it doesn't matter if you wash your hands, nicotine is absorbed through the skin, so another hit there ..
and it doesn't take that much to be fatal!
The industry is already saying it doesn't know the full health risks of vaping at this stage, which is pretty worrying.
But hey what do i know, your 6 additional years, makes you the expert, so enjoy it while you can

Mart ,if you did some proper research on the subject instead of reading propaganda rubbish you will find the the e-liquid is made up of propylene glycol and or vegetable glycerin,nocotine(same stuff that goes into patches)& propylene glycol based flavours,,,,,i know this not just by making my own liquid but also by knowing many people who work in the ecig industry ...
as for nicotine ,,yes nicotine can be poisonous in high dosage but in ecigs the nicotine levels are more closer the those found in potato's ,tomato's, or aubergines,and any other food stuff belonging to the nightshade family..

The only losers I can see are the tobacco industry and the government with loss of taxes. Hopefully we will start to see a reduction in the cost to the NHS in the next few decades though that will begin to offset this.

All this talk of plain white packaging for cigarettes, or covering them with horrible pics etc - why don't they just ban them now....?
OK give everyone 2 years etc - just announce that in 2 years time that's it, no more, nada - gone for good.
yes there will be a black market - but it will still make them difficult for kids to get hold of... and more of a pain for everyone else....
Don't understand the ******* about with it all myself..... we all know they are long term killers....

They should ban alcohol too, that's 30,000 deaths per year and who knows how much it costs the NHS every weekend. As someone who doesn't really drink and certainly wouldn't miss it I say crack on.
