Default For Sale Sections: Reshuffle + new forums!

Hi

As you can see we've been busy and reorganised the market place.

We are in the process or organising threads into the correct places, so please bear with us whilst we move threads to their new forums.

Cheers

FANTASTIC to see that done.

Is there any need for a general section now though?

A step in the right direction, good move. The spelling needs checking though, privileges not privaleges.

FYI: Page 2 of Market Place (SN Members Only) > Parts For Sale, takes you straight to Market Place (Authorised Traders Only) > Cars For Sale
so at the moment, you can only see the first page of the former.

Please bear with us while we get this system working properly, it means moving 10's of thousands of topics and the mods have been working tirelessly with me to get them all moved about.

There will inevitably be problems (the techs are looking at the "page 2 issue, I suspect a DB issue) but we are working through them slowly and appreciate your patience. The forum will benefit from the changes.

That page 2 issue was kicked off by me mass moving the all the Traders threads and then all the private cars for sale

Basically the link (to page 2) temporarily pointed to the wrong index page (you could see this when you inspected the URL). I kind of thought that re-indexing would sort this, and that would occur shortly.

I checked again this morning and it was working fine.

Is there a thread to report lost posts?

I seem to be missing a couple of for sale threads! (private car parts)

Apart from that... all good

This one? https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...c-fitment.html

The only other threads from you I can see are from April to March 2010. Is that correct? We didn't move/sort threads that have had no reply since last year as we assumed the thread is either dead or the item sold.

can I make a suggestion for the new for sale sections?

I go on avforums a bit and whilst I dont like how they run their forums in general flooding it with silly rules, they do have a disputes section in for sale where the mods act as mediators is that the word?

heres a link: http://www.avforums.com/forums/disputed-problem-trades/

it might be an idea to help irradicate scammers?

Thats the main one that I was looking for. Thanks (didn't show up in my "started threads" list)

Still got some of the bits on the other thread but haven't been in a hurry to sell hence me not bumping them every couple of days...
I have the same thread running on another forum, so will copy & paste that into a new one.
Cheers

If it's workable from a moderator's point of view... Sounds like a good idea which could remove some of the scammers from the forums!

What is the best section on your site to advertise my number plate? I have put on a thread but I think it is in the wrong place. You have such a wide range of threads. Be great if you could point me in the right direction..

Thanks

If its Subaru related (i.e says Scoob or WRX, STi or worded to that effect etc) then putting it in Subaru parts wil be fine.
