My Bug jdm STI
Hi, im new to forum and very new to anything Subaru. Ive had many different JDM performance cars but never had faith in the Subaru brand but felt I need to try them out. I never liked the bug eyes when first came out but I've become more accepting of them over time.
I had been watching this car for a while and finally made the trek to go and see it. I have to say despite my hesitations of going to Bradford to look at the car at Rasp the guys there replied to all my messages sending more pictures and video's of cold start up's etc. So I recommend them especially if anyone does have doubts about them.
I'd love to know if the original owner is on here so please speak up or if you know/seen the car before.
Current plans are to just change the bonnet to a oem one, colour code the fog light covers, lower it on coilovers and first and foremost fluids need changing along with oil etc.
Got it booked in at FB tuning tommorow so hopefully I'll find out what needs doing to it. It's needs some brakes as they don't feel like other Brembo 4-pots I've had before.

Unfortunately non of the side as my drive is too small and I have my daily on there aswel. But I'll sort some out during the week.
I've got some from the add
Id like to get the bay looking a little more original with the air duct. It's missing its aircon from what I can gather. Not a issue for me as this is my weekend/track car.
As for the interior, id like to get rid of the sti pod gauges and have a clock instead. Will have to keep a gauge of some kind on dash as its been screwed in.

Cheers Zanny!
Cockstar I'll be in touch soon, hopefully got a swap happening on the bonnet but the other parts I'll most likely need. Cheers!

Not much of a update really, I've had a oil change but in the next couple hundred miles, I'll get another along with all other flushes etc.
I've changed the bonnet, painted the fogs and changed the grill. So I'm now happy with the front end currently.
Just needs new brakes and a few other little bits.

Cheers guys!
I've still got the front grill just incase I decide to swap back again. I just didn't like the way it rounded the front off.
I'm looking at splitters, even those diy types to just give it a go, or just wait for a prodrive bumper to come up. Will see!

Justme, I really want a prodrive bumper.... but it can wait for now! Unless one comes up cheap!
Zanny, I'll prob keep it for now but it's good to know what they are worth! Thank you! New bits bought, some discs, pads, braided lines, and a Harvey up-pipe. Just awaiting a couple other bits then I'll get it all fitted!
Ian, as of yet I haven't got it re-mapped but it's something I hope to do soon!

It's been a while, but a little update. Finally found a prodrive bumper but just need to find the time to collect it from Kent at my grandparents. New discs and pads fitted, I bought a miltek exhaust as I wasn't a fan of the big one previously on it. And finally lowered on tein coilovers. I need to eventually adjust the height as it's scraping a little on the arches.
im on a gradual hunt for STI alloys, Blob rear bumper and lights and a GX rear boot with no spoiler.
