1999 Subaru Impreza WRX STI V5 [White]
Hello! Long time lurker and non poster... thought I'd post up a thread.
I've went through a few cars in the past few years and generally tend to change quite a lot. I've grown up playing Gran Turismo and I think my last few years have been a real life version of my digital garages back in the day haha! The most interesting stuff I've had includes:
2001 DC5 Type R (5 of them, all Championship white)
2003 Civic Type R (Championship White, Jap Import)
2004 Civic Type R UK
2000 Integra Type-R DC2
2009 Civic Type-R Championship White Edition
2004 Mitsubishi Evo 8 [400BHP]
1995 R33 GT-R
2000 Impreza Classic UK Turbo
1994 Impreza WRX (Jap Import)
1999 Impreza STI (Jap Import)
2004 Impreza STI PPP Blobeye
2003 E46 M3
2001 Lupo GTi
Trying to hold on to this car for a while though as I would like to go for bigger power.
Anyway, fast forward to a few months ago I found a gem of a car a V5 STI (280 BHP Standard). It only has 61,000 miles on the clock and is about as standard as you get (a Fujitsubo Exhaust was the only modification).
I then purchased a set of new wheels Speedline ST2s (a lovely discontinued rare wheel from that era so suit it perfectly IMO) and had them refurbished in the original gold. I then needed some rubber so instead of my usual Goodyear F1 V2s I decided to go for something different and went for four new Michelin PS3s which are a great tyre in the wet as well!
Anyway, I've spent the last week getting it up to my standard with Clay/De Tar/Iron X/Polish/Wax etc so it's sitting the way I want it on the outside for now. Just a couple of little things I want to sort in the engine bay and I'll be happy!
Also, I've changed the positioning of the rear plate as I was not happy with it.
Plans are basically for more power. I would like around 400BHP all suggestions welcome!

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Scoobyboy it seems we have similar tastes! With the exception of the R33 GTR, which I never should have sold, I would rate this as one of the cars I enjoy driving the most.

Cheers fellas! Yeah for the age of the car it's in good condition I'm happy with it. Some small areas I'd like to address but it means I can jump in and not obsess that it'll get dirty/wet - I prefer to drive them. It's just as fun cleaning it up and making it mint again!
Thanks for the comments on the plate it means nothing at all but it's just a nice short reg and finishes of a car nicely IMO. I've had it for 5/6 years and never mind the cost of the plate but I've probably spent around £1000 since I bought it paying all the damn £80 transfers haha!
