Drone test 'follow me' with WRX
Decided to take the risk and put the quadcopter up in the air to follow the car around the farm - Q500 has a 'follow me' mode which tracks the gps in the controller and once you've set it to where you want it to follow you from, you just get in the car and it keeps up with you.
As long as there aren't any obstacles in the way, it works...........and it's a great way of seeing your car from a different perspective.

I provisionally bought the quad for tree canopy investigations, but ever since I 've had it my farmer landlord has been getting me to help him with his wheat crop, overflying the fields to check different test strips coated with different levels of nitrogen etc. Great fun, but you do need a whole lot of land to be able to do it a lot, otherwise the force gets involved.

Incredible!! I love drone cameras, the wife recently brought me a hubsan to use as my first drone camera. Her uncle has a phantom, but has never used it! Just waiting for him to sell it and for me to buy it!
