Thank you tbh it was really the only place where there was enough room for it lol. I did have to raise it a bit so the blanking nut wasn't touching the bodywork. tbh it was easier than I was expecting. The hardest bit was trying to drill through the body with blunt drill bits

Thanks Micky

I used a 1 ply silicon radiator hose from Ebay as I managed to get a shorter length and saved some money, although I did order 1 meter of 16mm and they sent me 2 foot, so been on at them to send me the rest of my order lol. What a palava

I just wished it sorted out my hesitation problem, but it didn't

Its had a hesitation problem for around 4 months now. It only does it on low revs and under boost its fine. It does also rev itself a little sometimes. I have changed lots of things and cleaned bits and bobs, but its still the same. Its actually a little worse now and not sure if its because I have fitted the catch can
Tim reckons it could be electrical, but who knows

Slack throttle cable?

What plugs are you using? Is it more of a stuttering hesitation?

Here's the link to the 13mm hose and the 16mm came from same place, still sorting out the bit they didn't send lol

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1908850585...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Plug wise I can't remember, but there the ones that are normally recommended for the scoob. Its a little like stuttering atm and nearly stalling on tick over. The maf sensor was changed for one that worked properly and other bits have already been done, icv cleaned and gasket changed, 2 coil packs amongst other bits

Thanks Glen.

Catted or Decat? PFR-6B for a car with a standard cat, PFR-7B for a Decat is the norm.

Mine was doing exactly this,it had a really rough idle and used to rev a little on its own when sat in traffic. I then put a new timing belt kit on due to having a leaking waterpump plus it was due for a Cambelt for piece of mind.
Now the car has never been so smooth on idle and doesn't miss a beat!

It had a service about a month before the problem started, including cambelt.

The mechanic that fit mine(we did it together)said that it was a full tooth out on the n/s head, the car always idled rough in the 3years I have owned it. When we come to fit the new belt it was impossible to get it bang on,so after doing some reading on here it turns it that half tooth(which is the closest we could get) is perfectly normal. New belt on and it's never been so sweet, idles like a new car! I couldn't believe it.

There were no issues before the service and tbh there were none after for a month or so its one of those jobs it seems.

I have just re adjusted the icv so that its ticking over at just under 800rpm. So will see if it starts playing up again on revs
