Default Noob saying Hi. 02 Foster XT

Well finally got round to buying a Scooby . although I always thought it would be some fun Impreza I decided to make it my sensible family car :/

As a little wedding present to myself this month I decided to by Forester. After a bit of hunting found an 02 XT model. Wih FSH and one owner.

Flying back in to the UK to collect it this Wednesday then off to get a new exhaust then hopefully a remap to free up some more horses.

Thank for the help I found from digging around in here before I bought it.

I hope you realise that the MY03 2.0L XT that it is, only has a small TF035 turbo and much softer cams than the equivalent WRX.

The MY03 also has a unique manifold pipe setup to help with emissions, prior to AVCS being fitted to the MY04 and the manifold setup reverting to standard impreza layout.

Without other mods, a 3"catback and downpipe seems a waste.

From digging I found another user in web world making 230hp with remap, filter and back box. I'm not after big numbers just circa 200 as its to be my daily. For fun I have a turbo mx5 and 205gti in the garage.

You'll find a lot of info in the European forum over on Subaruforester.org
