Default Wrx gauages? Which ones aaarrggggh

Hello

I have a wrx 2005 blobeye and looking to install a set of three gauages into the centre console where the clock is.

Been looking at the prosport premium package scoobyworld are offering and these also would match the green OEM dash etc, or I like the look of the Shadow Pro scoobyclinic have to offer but I believe they only have a option of red or white.

Question is do I go prosport keep the green theme or go shadow have white lit background would it look daft?

Any gentle input would be great pleeeease

Your car, your choice.

Seriously, dude, if you have to ask us stuff like this. Just decide, would it look daft, or nice?

I was expecting a question like which make are best, or which gauges to fit, (Boost, oil press. oil temp).

Thanks for your kind words. With regards to asking which is best from research it opens a can of worms and ive already short listed the ones I'm interested in to fit my budget! Due to not having these and maybe others have people may have replied with ive got shadow gauges in my wrx they perform well and don't look outa place with them being white background etc.

As for the question I didn't realise there was a right or wrong question you can ask next time I'll get you to approve my question before I submit it dude.

With regards to replies I don't expect any I'll just finish the pointless thread off and pick the ones which has received the greatest credit and do the job as well as can be for the budget I have. I was going to ask about defis and if anyone knew where
To purchase them without the fear of them being fake but I'll just stick to browsing as I daren't no more pifffft

Hi there

We are run and used Shadow gauges on our wagon which has been awesome gauges for money, they never looked out of space and they really worth the money,if you are comparing to Prosport,Prosport are good, but you will struggle to see on them when outside is nice weather or sun(in direct sun they're useless)

Second gauges which I would have look are M7 gauges, they're very similar to DeFi,they use same or similar 3 wire sensors, but they don't have controller

Here are pictures of Shadow gauges:

Hope this helps

Too thin skinned for this forum.

Seriously, your post read EXACTLY like, "I can't make up my mind what colour to have, help me choose?"

Others obviously thought so too, as you have TWO replies from ONE HUNDRED views!

So.......you need to phrase your questions better to get better replies, and stop being so easily annoyed.

I usually spend ages helping folk with queries I CAN help with........check it out.

There is another option..the touch screen Toucan:

http://www.jti.uk.com/toucan/

I've just purchased one and it's great...you can even pick the colour of the gauges if colour is your driving factor
Does the job, and more, of other gauges and is not as intrusive.
I'm very happy I didn't go down the gauge route.

Hi there

We are have previously Toucan, its great bit of kit and has worked flawlessly on our wagon

But sadly its doesn't work with OE ECU,only with Syvecs or Alcatek/Simtek ECU

If you do have Syvecs, then I would have look on Syvecs Bluetooth module and use yours iPad or iPhone as gauges

Thanks,Jura
