Renewal time for me. I've spoken to A-Plan, Greenlight and my current insurers Adrian Flux.

My automatic renewal email came through at £682.20 so obviously ringing around I got £510 from A-Plan and £469 from Greenlight. Naturally I rang Adrian Flux and told them these comparable quotes and they then brought my price down to £465.... £4 cheaper than Greenlight.

I said OK and stuck with Adrian Flux but thinking about it, I feel really guilty not going with Greenlight. The guy I spoke to was very nice on the phone and I got through within 2 minutes. Plus how do Adrian Flux have the nerve to try to automatically renew me at the original price of £682.20? That's a £217 difference. Not to mention it took 5 minutes to get through.

If this happens again, I'm switching I'll tell you that.

I know what you mean. You would think that your current insurers would give you a rock bottom price to keep you on. Then when they suddenly find £217 it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. But, in the final analysis, you want the lowest price with the best package. Mind you, I will pay extra for extra features and good customer service.

Never been in that position for 10 years. None of those even get close to my renewals.

just to say mate you never have any trouble getting through when your NEW buisness-trouble comes when your an existing customer lol seems like the speciallist companies try it on just like the big boys -when i used churchill insurance i could get a cheaper quote online then my own renewal quote, from the same company, year after year -got fed up in the end
these companies rely on most people auto renewing and not checking.
