Prodrive P1 Lowering Springs - Rare Purchase opportunity.

What are the front and rear bar sizes?
Are they 19mm front/20mm rear like a P1?
If they're the same bar sizes as the P1, then I'd find a second-hand 18mm rear bar and try that (18mm is what Prodrive used on the rear of the WR99 option suspension kit - almost identical in rear rate to the v6 sti). Just to get some more independence in the rear suspension, for your particular roads. You'd then know, for certain, if you're ever going to be happy with high spring rates.
I'd definitely change the internal kyb inverted bump stops, to the modern versions sold by pca dymamics.
If you're OK with your current brakes, I'd keep the 16" wheels for the extra sidewall compliance. Might even go 205/55 instead.
What's your wheel centre to arch measurement? - front and rear.
HTH, for a start.

All things going well, I should be at the car today so if I manage then I'll try and get some measurements of the bits you mention.
Regarding the brakes, I'm not entirely convinced by the standard set-up (although uprated) so think I may buy something more effective/bigger at some point... which will also require bigger wheels; most likely 17" P1OZs/Revolutions/Turini type affair.
Cheers,
Grant

Yes please and thanks.
PCA do the bump stops for inverted dampers - internal bump stops
Your excel-g dampers are twin-tube - external bump stops
I've come up with a bump stop/dust boot kit (bump stop on show, to check for degradation) to match the P11 L to twin-tube dampers - £50
Let me know if you'd like them.
Re: your sta bars - the bump stops should allow you to run less rear bar, for the same balance. You may want remember that when you're re-adjusting/reconsidering your bars.

Exciting isn't it!
Can't quite believe it's happening. Over a year of stress, all the prototype money, miles travelled, meetings attended and obscure spring and bump stop collection.
Learnt a lot. Discovered I didn't know as much as I thought I knew. Met/spoken to some really interesting people.
After all that, we should all have access to two thoughtfully designed spring sets, that match previous, and currently available struts.
Myself and Scott.T just wanted some springs...how difficult could it be.

I live in the US and would like to have a set of P11L's for my AGX's
I'd like the bumpstop and boot as well, which I understand in total is 285 pounds/420.69 us dollars
How much would shipping be? My postal code here is 94568
Found you guys on RS25 and had a lot of catching up to do here haha

I'll put you on the list
Shipping is £81 1-3 working days
£65 1-4 working days
I'll look into a discount, from the carrier, if I pre-book quantities or all the US deliveries ship at once.
Yeah...there's a lot of stuff to catch up on

Meanwhile I'll be running around setting the cash aside. Paypal okay? (when the time comes)
Amazing backstory+R&D to these springs, would love to run them just for the DIY spirit and the two s**ts given to make them

A random thought ran across my mind:
the p11L's, how did they behave compared to the p11's?
I understand they were a couple mm's lower in the front, did that drop need compensation in the spring rate, or did it sort itself out?

The P11L front spring design is different, from the P11, to allow the ride height reduction, at an equivalent rate. Appropriate bump stop lengths/engagement and durometer are very important - hence the twin-tube bump stop kits.
Depending on your driving style, smaller rear bars might be in order, to retain the same overall balance - I'd certainly factor it in to your thinking, when using twin-tube dampers, with the bump stop kits.

The P11L's are scheduled to arrive end of this month - I'm awaiting a definitive date.
I'll PM everyone, when they're at Eibach UK.
I could send the bump stops/dust boots separately, but it would cost £15 (UK delivery) extra p&p.
So, if I were you, I'd wait 'til I could pay all at once - £285 delivered inc the stops.

My paypal will be ready. So glad I found this thread just in time.
I almost gave up on my search for P1's or Eibach equivalents!
What color will they be again? Orange?

Question about dampers.
Mine is a UK00 wagon, road use only and at weekends/special occasions. i'm looking at this and cosidering the age of the car and 85k miles, could be a worthwhile update/upgrade as it's still on standard suspension ( recently done both ARB and steering rack bushes). And after nearly 18yrs of owning various imprezas, have the bug again ! (had this one for 9= yrs)
Looking at the KYB options, there seem to be 2 (i'm sure there's more). Excel G @ £254 or Agx @£612. I like the idea of adjustability but for over twice the price, is it really worth it ? having had Leda coilovers before, it seems i was always adjusting for this or that..
Interesting to hear what others think
Thanks
Steve

Pointless buying the AGX, if you're going to use the P11L springs.
The WR15R/T springs need the AGX on setting 3 front and 5 rear.
Adjustable Koni inserts, and AGX, could use both spring types.

There is no performance advantage using the agx, over the excel-g, when using P11L springs. As the agx should be set at 2/4, to match the P11L.
The Koni inserts are a higher quality damper and infinitely adjustable. They would be an improvement with the P11L and the WR15R/T.
Just seen your edit:
The P1 springs were incorrectly rated, on a US site, as 215/195. Therefore, thought to be outside the range of the excel-g and gr2(silver excel-g).
