I had an email back from Dave this morning. He's slightly behind schedule with these as he's been fitting them in around his other products.
All 4 are made and trimmed, they just need finishing and priming.
Shouldn't be long now.

Matt.

Obviously I can't speak for everyone but these things usually take months to come together and you've done this in a week.

I'm def in no rush but don't panic, I do have the funds for it

If we were going for a large number then I think the wait would be quite a bit longer.

As it's only 4 that he's got to make he's fitting them in this week. I'm in no rush either and if he'd said they would be a month or so then I'd of been happy too.

After speaking with Dave this afternoon we have come to an agreement on price which I'm very happy with.
He agreed to do these first four vents at a fantastic price of just £90 each delivered via royal mail 1st class recorded delivery. This includes the associated fee's with paypal etc.
Subsequent group buys will cost the same but he's happy to sell to individuals, however the normal price of £110 delivered will be required.
I'm happy to forward his contact details onto any interested parties.

I shall also be setting up a group buy for these vents in pre-facelift form after we have recieved these face-lift ones if there's enough interest.

He hopes to have this first batch finished later this week and will send me some pictures of them which I shall put up on here. I'll then contact the 3 guys who agreed to one with his payment details etc.

No worries fellas, just waiting to here back from Dave.
At that price I'm tempted to buy 10 and stick them on ebay.... :-)

The four vents are made and have been trimmed.
They just need priming now so won't be long chaps.

Excuse the poor quality photo, for some reason it wouldn't let me download it from my email so I had to zoom in and screenshot it.

Anyway, here they are all made. Dave just wants to flat them off again and then primer again so they are perfect.
Won't be long apparently.

What was your last one like to fit?

Is it a case of remove the old then drill and bolt the new one or should we start looking at fitting kits etc?

From memory they are a direct fit mate. The vent comes with bolts already fitted so it's just a case of unbolt the scoop, put on the vent and do the nuts up.

Yellowevo.......

Could you let me know if you are still in for one of these vents please chap.
It's no drama if you've changed your mind but I'll need to know.

Thanks.

Both Marks and my vent have now been posted.

Mark, your tracking details have been emailed to you I believe.

Cookstar, if you could let me know once you've paid please, thanks.

Yellowevo, still no word from you. If you can let me know if you want it it not I'd appreciate it. Dave had done me a favour with these vents and don't want to mess him around.
Thanks.

I collected my vent this morning from the post office.

Really pleased with it, looks great. There's a couple of very tiny imperfections in the casting and it needs flatting off before paint but nothing more than expected. And once given a quick sand over with some wet and dry it'll be perfect.
Really happy. Now I just need to buy another facelift car to fit it on.....lol

Hi Mattty/All

Thought i should update you all with some pics of what i did and how it turned out. Def not a how to but more of a how I did it guide.

First started by sanding it all down then applied 3 layers of primer and then used plastidip, about 3 layers of matt black. Probably not to everyones taste but thought you might appreciate the pictures.

I had to use my dads car as a Guinea Pig as mine is currently with enginetuner. I'm very impressed with the results and more so with the fit.
