Default polar performance chip in sti

what sort of gains would i get if i put a polar chip in my ecu,

i have a sti v2 it has
ported manifold
decat 3"
race exhaust 2.5"
walbro fuel pump
k&n induction kit

it running a 7k ecu and i get 1.1 bar now ,the injectors are standard and so is the intercooler at the moment

if it's running 1.1bar now then it's probably already been chiiped, wither in the UK or Japan.
The 7K is only mapped to run 0.9bar.

there is no chip in there ,there is a socket for one ,
i was hoping that you would reply scott,
ive adjusted the actuator arm on the turbo a bit i dont know if that would do anything
it should be about 275-280 standard ,what would your chip add to that and would it give it more torque

STi 2 tend to be up around the 300BHP - 310BHP mark on a 1.1bar map.
The actuator may of helped increase the boost a touch but it may be more of a spike to 1.1bar rather then holding.

If you had already adjusted the actuator prior to fitting the chip, then thats probably the best thing to do.
If ever I adjust an actuator I always set it so the it's 1/2 lined up on the pin i.e you have to tug it a little to drop on (but not so much so that it's really short/over tightened).

Sounds like coil pack failure, probably induced by the increased boost and the safer fuel/timing setup.
What is it boosting too now, as it may still be fuel-cutting.

will now adjust the actuator arm to get full boost

if it starts to splutter or miss ill have to get some new coil packs

Nice one......you wouldn't believe the number of people that don't believe me when I say coil packs and think it's the map in the chip.
However, all have to eat humble pie when they 'eventually' decide to change them.

as i said it was runnig well but only getting 0.9,so the next step was to turn the actuator arm half a turn at the time to up the boost ,took for a spin felt much more mid range but then the dreaded cutt out, floored it up the hill and wow then into third and firth were i could only get 0.7 and no more
going to turn the arm back today see what nappens then,if nothing has changed will have to get some new coil packs,
but why am i still not getting 1.1 on the boost gauge
