I'm having an issue with the starter motor on my 97 STI Type R, so going to swap it with another 5 speed starter motor that I have... But its either from a 97 WRX or a 98 STI (two cars ive broken in the past). Just wondering if it'll be a straight swap??

Good to know, cheers mate... Spoke to pages on the weekend about the steering rack, quoted me £150 which I was happy with... Then they told me chances are, they'll send the rack off and will probs get returned as they struggle to get hold of the seals for old jap cars.

Fairly sure I've got a newage 5 speed starter on my car.
I had a new/recon rack fitted to mine last month. Not sure on the actual cost as it was in with the bill. I think it was £170 though.
Do you know DBM in Ryton? They sourced and fitted it, might be worth an ask.
