Default Best Wheel's on Standard Classic Arches

Im after a new set of alloy's. Well more like idea's.

Standard arches With Prodrive Alcon brakes with 330mm discs.

After 17"'s ideally. Got 18"'s on at the moment with 215/35/r18 , going to be to uncomfortable and backbreaking for what im wanting from the car, and for were i live.

Had 17" P1 7J alloys on before. looked okay, however after something different.

Do XXR (527, 530's etc) ,Or Rota (Grid, Torques Etc) do 7.5J 17" alloys?? ET 35 - 50 ??

I like the look of these, how will 8J on a classic look. Its on the limit's of what i've been advised to go for

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAPAN-RACI...item27eef2c450

Photo's of other people's classics on standard arches would be much appreciate . Also my cars on standard STI V5 Inverted Suspension

I have white Rota Torque 17" 7.5J ET38 on my Classic. Standard ride height and arches etc.

I can get a photo tomorrow and put it on. Check my profile in case there's one there that shows them.

8J ET35 is a ballache to fit, I had my arches rolled and pulled with coilovers and still could not get the car to sit properly. You will need a higher offset such at ET45 and you may get away with 8J wheels

17 " rota boosts with elbaich pro springs

I'll have to check the et and width but I don't think you'd get away with anything wider as they're flush with the wings on the front

Those actually look stunning on a classic. First photo's i've seen with a classic wearing those. Didnt like the look of them to begin with on Ebay etc.

Ideally id be after 17" 7 (7.5J) Et 30 - 50 Offset's. Should fill the arches nicely

Anyone having problems with the OZ 17" 8J wide wheels? I fitted on mine 225/45/17 tyres and for some reason back is fine while the fronts are sticking out the arch about 10mm . I don't understand this... if back is fine how can front is out so much?

I couldn't disagree more, inherently weak wheels

I have to agree. On more than one occasion I have seen these break after powder coating.

So don't powder coat 'em?

How many have you seen break without that?

Exactly. I've never seen any break with out powder coating but other wheels appear to be fine with the powder coating.

Ya joking! One of the worst looking wheels IMO.

CE28's or Advan RG's are pretty sweet. P1 wheels on a more wallet friendly budget.
