Default Airbag seats - fast answers needed please

Hey all ,, i picked up a set of gorgeous low mileage sti seats last night to replace mine as the drivers cushion on mine is in need of repair

The seats i got dont have airbags ,, mine do

If i fit these seats and just leave the yellow airbag wire disconnected as there isnt a plug for it on the non airbag seats will t bring up a warning light ?

If yes is there a workaround ?

I have odb so can switch any light off i think but dont want to be doing that everytime i start the car

Anyone fitted seats that can advise ?

I fitted a resistor to my yellow connector, unfortunately I cant remember the value, but it works perfectly - NASIOC will have the details I am sure.

Yeah fit a resistor in there, also can't remember the value of it lol, plus you can't turn the airbag light off like you can with the engine light.

Yup that worked ,, thanks all and especially for the the suggestion from wrxyz to look on nasoic ,, quick trip to maplins and the sti seats are fitted now and so much more comfy as the squab on my wrx300 seats was in need of repair so you could feel the seat frame against your leg constantly

Im still going to look for a foam at the righ price to repair the original seats when possible as guessing the blue alcantara seats with airbags and yellow subaru world rally team logo inset are pretty rare

Before

After

Side by side

Wrx 300 style
