Code Of Conduct

1) No text speak on our forum or pages.

Our forum is an open and friendly place, of which we try exceptionally hard to ensure is as welcoming as possible. It is there for everyone to enjoy, acting as a base for ESOC gatherings, automotive chat as well as technical information.
All posts should therefore be legible, clear and easy to read.

We understand the occasional typo and misspelling, these are obviously unavoidable. The only acceptable usage are common abbreviations such as LOL, PMSL etc.

Text speak such as:
M8 = Mate
B4 = Before
RU = Are you

Will not be permitted.

This is lazy, rude to others, unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Our club is here for everyone's benefit, and is everyone's responsibility to keep it enjoyable for all.

2) No swearing, racist remarks or foul language on our forums or facebook areas.

3) Essex Subaru Owners Club members are encouraged to act and drive in an appropriate manner to and from ESOC events. Please show respect to the surrounding areas keeping noise levels down to a minimum.

For the purpose of clarity, this means:

- no donuts
- no handbrake turns
- no excessive acceleration
- keeping to the speed limits around local areas
- any other behaviour which is likely to cause nuisance, endanger the use of our meeting premises, members present or public.

For those wanting to show their cars potential, can do so at track based events.

4) Members are encouraged to wear ESOC stickers on their vehicles, and when doing so act accordingly to uphold the superb reputation of our club.

Failure to adhere to any of the above will result in a friendly warning leading up to and including expulsion from the ESOC.

The ESOC will not hesitate in banning those that attempt to spoil it for everyone else.

I am sure this will not be necessary, however you have been warned!
