Default wideband or standard for afr gauges

hello gents , im reading some interesting feedback from a previous post I made . but 2 questions , if I install the afr gauge will I need a wideband lambda sensor? also will it upset the mapping on an alcatek simtec? can the afr gauge work with the sensor thats presently fitted? . sorry 3 questions. thanks steve.

the simtek will use either a 3rd party wideband gauge or the stock rear o2/narrowband sensor - not sure on the alcatek. To run the AFR gauge you need a wideband sensor, the narrowband sensors will just constantly swing between rich and lean and are of no use whatsoever for a gauge.
