Andy Carr pre - map advice
As per title, will be booking my03 sti ppp in for opensource remap.
Ive just completed full service, new timing belt / pulleys , waterpump, crank sensor, engine coolant sensor, front lambda, maf, coolant etc
So, is their anything else i need to get?
new/uprated mapsensor, or is oem ok?
3 port solenoid, should i just get Andy to price one in or buy before hand?
Is it also worth having the 2 map switch?
Also to add ive fitted new green panel, pfr7b's, miltek centre pipe and deatsch werks 300 fuel pump..
cheers

Right, I'll get the switches put in, not keen on the rear demist switch/ wot activation.
What's your thoughts on the map sensor, OK with oem?

What i don't like about demister activation is that apart from flooring it there's no way of knowing if its high or low boost

that's the ECUtek 100% throttle map switch, with carberry it's just on /off so if demister is on your on the second map. Mister off and your on first map (or used for on/off of antilag which will surely end your PPP cat very quickly).
With the toggle switches fitted it will be the same you'll have clear on/off with the switch.

Earlier 2003 car no cruise,

I'll have to look at getting a de-cat, although I won't be getting launch control, anti lag etc

[QUOTE=SmurfyBhoy;11851528]Yes, obviously
My point is without bringing it into boost,
No sign of which of the two it's in till you press the pedal and see.[/QUOTE

:-) Not stating the obvious! Just wondered if their was not much difference between the two maps to the point you couldn't tell..

On my car a 2003 STI the ECUtek is one map I believe with two different boost targets AFAIK.
1 bar (actuator) and 1.7 bar
