Default ESL mapping course.

I've had alot of requests to run a course on ESL mapping. It looks like we have achieved critical mass, so if anyone else in interested there is a thread on our fb page to register interest.

www.facebook.com/EnduringSolutionsLtd

It will be based near Cambridge, date tba, and run by me (the software designer). There will be an opportunity to purchase discounted cable dongles on the day.

Cheers

Andy

Haha. All relative I suppose. Have had an enquiry from NZ but I think that may be a bridge too far.

I've already replied on Facebook and it looks like you'll have at least two of us flying over from Belfast for it, dates permitting.

I would love to do this but I think I'm a little too far away for a one day course!

When you go ahead with this Andy, would you be able to put together your teaching notes/power point presentations/any other teaching aids you use and make it available for those of us that are further away?

Many thanks

I might be wrong here so apologies if I am,I think the corse is more about how to use the ESL software and all its features rather than an actual 'how to map' corse.
Which is good as I'm sure as with many using ESL we are not familiar with all the feature of ESL so should be a great corse to attend
Although the ESL manual has pretty much everything you need to know about using this software there are still things I can't for the life of me get to work,3D maps being one of them lol
So I will be attending(date permitting) as the classroom will give me a greater understanding about the whole software package and how to use to its full potential.

Isn't 3d maps just where grid values can be changed horizontal and vertical like boost duty where boost limit would be 2d

I've provisionally booked for Tuesday the 26th of January from 9am-6pm at the Hallmark Hotel on the A14 by Cambridge. We have the use of the biggest Premier Projection Suite for the whole day and I've got us free parking, wifi, tea, coffee, still and sparkling water, etc. The hotel has bar and restaurant facilities for lunch (as well as a spa, gym and golf if you like that sort of thing). I will also be providing course notes and ESL stationery etc.
An outline of the course (can be tailored as necessary):

Basic Thermodynamics of 4 stroke Spark Ignition engine
General Mapping Techniques
Equipment required
Sensors and Calibration
Software Walkthrough
Datalogging and Data Analysis
Mapping Fuel and AFRs
Mapping Ignition
Knock Control
Mapping Boost
Speed Density (MAFless) mapping
Mapping twin maps
Diagnostics
Motorsport features (if required)
99/00 Demo (if required)

The cost is £149+VAT per person.

The fb page is https://www.facebook.com/groups/1105570929455860 to register interest, or I can be emailed on service@enduringsolutions.com

Cheers, Andy.

I would love to do something like this for my personal gain, I feel I would already know a lot of the information already, although I bet there is still a lot to learn. Would you cover duel fuels (ie methanol mixes) in the duel maps?
