Thumbs up Many thanks to Mr Rawle

After 2.5 yrs of performance issues with my MY07 Hawkeye wagon , I've finally got it licked thanks to Mr Bob Rawle.

It had already been remapped twice with other mappers but to no avail.
I now have 291BHp and 300+ ftlb of torque off an "ex" PPP hawkeye which is still catted!
Happy days..

Things I've learnt during this experience:
- Make sure you tell the mapper to preserve any existing ECU licences e.g. PPP and get them to show proof they've done so after they finish
- You can't map properly sitting on a rolling road!
- You can't map properly in 30 minutes!
- It rapidly becomes evident when a mapper really knows their stuff inside-out but you won't know that until you see it!
- Not all petrols are equal, especially BP Ultimate.

Will be monitoring over the coming days and weeks but all looking good so far.
What a relief!
Now just have to not crash....

If you've been round since 2007 you should know alot of that already :S

BP isn't 99 Ron

and to correct some of your info, yes you can map a car on a RR if the mapper knows what he's doing, it should always be road tested and finished on the road after though.

And as for half hour maps and overwriting licenses, i can guess who then lol

So what issues were you having?

Great advice! Where can I find BOB?

I'm in Essex and I'm looking for a highly recommended specialist to map mine.

Hi Tidgy,
spose you could map on the RR, then confirm on the road but by that point, you might as well map on the road anyway?

STE333 -
Umm, I'm not the most technical chap but...

It's got an Ecutek remapping after Bob is done and has
- What's left of the hardware from a PPP installation.
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- Forged pistons following a bottom and top end rebuilding
and that's it mate.
Nothing more exotic than that...yet

Oh ok fair enough. If it's still got all of the original bits, ie. cats in the up pipe and downpipe etc. that's good power!
