Never noticed one, not that raced at least, tbh it was a poor turnout for the 4x4 class. I came 2nd yet again so missed out on a trophy.

0-60ft is a close guess, I managed 1.79, I'm just uploading the vids/slips then I'll post the results!

Tends to be the way, the weight transfer as you launch unloads the front wheels thus allowing them to slip a bit. One of the advantages of DCCD as it means you can take some of the torque off the front axle.

True thing that.

I would personally combat that with tyre pressures run lower up front and use the suspension etc to load up the rear.

Just had a look at one of the vids, I seem to be wheelspinning on the spot more than anything. Can't believe I still clocked a 3.8 0-60mph.

Equivalent to 58% losses on 1 cylinder power loss wise, and that was 7 years ago.

Well your unlikely to be doing rolling burnouts with 4wd at your power level.

If mickywrx can do 12.46 in a 330bhp Classic what can I do in a 330bhp Newage?

Is that your best time ever so far? Seems a lot of faffing to actually get the time to be got from your car and spec with a perfect run. Didn't see much wheel spin myself tbh.

I didn't see much wheel spin either. Clutch slip maybe?

Also Matt what is going on with that launch? Is that you holding the revs and dumping the clutch?

If you listen you can hear the tyres spinning for the first 30 foot or so.

I'm holding revs then slipping the clutch, I'd never leave the spot if I just let the clutch straight up!

Went a little quicker but no matter how I launched I got the same time, usually increasing revs lowers my times but yesterday it just made me spin more. Tyres might sought it but I'm not gonna claim by 0.45 secs.

My 5 runs

17.41
12.56
12.54
12.45
12.44

This was the quickest

You might wanna check your clutch then either that or (as has been said several times) buy decent tyres 'cus I can't see your making enough torque to be having those kinds of traction issues in a 4wd car.

Well discussed launching techniques, holding the revs is absolutely pointless and achieves nothing....

You need to get the turbo spooling the best way to do that is by blip ping the throttle and slipping the clutch as you feed the throttle in.

I've got a video somewhere that shows the boost gauge while I launch actually when I get home I will upload it so you can see the difference

I would also echo Neil's sentiments, are you 100% sure it's wheel spin, as the way you launch is going to mince your clutch in no time. And honestly I can't see you having enough torque to spin the wheels, let alone there is no smoke....

Hilarious I did 12.8 with a standard sti (300 bhp) with a passenger too.
Just goes to show how superior the STi Is.

I'm sorry if you think you're gonna shake off 0.45 seconds.

You ran with 256 bhp not too long ago, but hey oh, once a fibber....

Definitely wheel spin. Before at the track I didn't wheelspin but got horrid clutch smell, yesterday I didn't get any clutch smell but plenty of wheelspin.

Jay I don't think there was any possible way of launching any better yesterday, I pushed your 1.77 0-60ft with a 1.79 0-60ft and recorded a 3.8sec 0-60mph.

Might be like Neil says, get some pressure on the front and let the tyres down a bit. I've shed a sh*t load of weight from the front, maybe 50kg, and I think it's telling

Still chasing it but I can't see tyres alone shaving 0.45 off.

Gonna need a little more weight shed and try something to get the power down to the front a bit more.

Might be done by 2025!

I me at you won't get it by the mods you suggest, without upping power too, you've got no chance I'm afraid. It's so hard trying to shave off a 0.10 let alone half a second.
Considering its took you this long todo 12.44

Yup more power needed and your comedy wrx box won't take it so you will need a six speed.

Should have bought an sti

You know me Tom, I do things the wrong way around, I'll get a big turbo and run low boost. 360/330
