Default P0171 Powertrain

As above - system too lean (bank 1) fault.

I have cleaned and refitted the MAF but not resolved the problem.

I get the occasional stall if hard accelerating then braking to a stop.
Idling can be a little dogged.
When accelerating in higher gears the engine will over rev then flatten out so like in 4th gear the revs will shoot from 2500 to 5 or 6000 and you hear a surge but the power is flat then it levels back out again.
Petrol consumption seems worse too.

2006 UK Hawkeye.
Front mounted cooler.
Prodrive performace pack
De cat all through.
Chipped.

All was fine this has developed.

Reading there is strong links to oxygen sensor, happy all hoses are good or not the problem all tight and clipped.

Anyone else had similar symptoms and resolved?

Congratulations, you have the worse fault code to find the fault with. Have a search of NASIOC forum, I think theres at least 10 things that it could be

Good luck

All sounds possible but I bought the car a few months back with the mods in place and had been mapped with dyno, this has now occurred so am thinking it shouldn't be with nothing else changed...... Or not?

Good luck

Yep seen many things it can be

Was hoping someone else might have had specific symtpoms I have to narrow it down or help me prioritise checks as seems some have more stalling issues, only had 2 and from heavy accelerate to hard brake.
Mine seems to be more in power delivery and pretty sure the fueling is being increased to allow for it as even by Scooby standards half a tank seems to go pretty fast.
