Yes, my son has. The battery life is comically short these days and he gets the 1% report frequently. He find that when he plugs it in to charge there is actually much more but it's not impressive for a relatively new phone.

What actually happens when the battery gets to 0%? Does it actually switch off or does it carry on as if it was still charged?

That sounds more like a faulty cell to me, probably needs a batt replacement.

I've been traveling to work all day, sorry. This was a common complaint that affected some models and OS versions, is it up to date?

Sounds about right.

I still get a reasonable battery life from my launch day 6+. Left the house at 4am yesterday, used the phone a lot for nav and calls and it ran out at about 11pm.

Yeah a full factory reset was going to be my suggestion but it's starting to look like a battery/cell issue (as Bioforger said).

Any idea what test Apple did to see what the battery level was? 'Cus i can't think of anything meaningful that could be done by one of their 'Geniuses'.

YOU are clearly blinded by your insane belief that nothing could possibly go wrong with an apple device.

What could it be then Jack? he's exhausted all software options, reset it and updated it. I'll eat your own apple if i'm wrong.

Oh, that's why I mentioned the recall and unlike you suggest that it might be a software issue. Wake up you jumped up *****. Reset it to factory default - which I very much doubt was done - then see.
