Switched mother-in-law onto Vodafone a while ago. Apart from the fact they are complete numpties the phone and BB have been very good. £33 per month for line rental, anytime calls and up to 40 mpbs, about £3 per month for faster IIRC.

To move phone and broadband from BT (out of contract) do I have to speak to BT or just order from the new provider? Used to be a MAC code to move broadband iirc.

Some ISPs will get the MAC code on your behalf (Plusnet do, not sure for BT, but as plusnet is a subsidiary of BT they should do it for you).

Some won't and ask that you do it.
