If you've got money to burn on 1 year upgrade cycles then go for it. There's no denying it's better.

Didn't cost me anything so I took the 7 .. it's the same phone with a different .. potentially annoying home button..

I'd be a bit annoyed had I spent my own money on it.

It's the biggest disappointment I've had with an iPhone upgrade and I went from a 6 (non s) to the 7.

I suspect this is what happens when the Corporation isn't being headed up by Jobs.

Strangely defensive post?

I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question. You see all the **** Apple get for not innovating but what real excitement/innovation is there in the sector at the moment? The only phone I've seen in the past year which is worth getting excited over is the Moto Z, everything else is much of a muchness.

Most iphones come with some kind of fantastic new feature or improved design. This one appears (so far) to be a simple money spinner.

I'd love to go from my 6 to a 7. The chip performance, wide gamut display, W1 chip, Taptic engine, 3d touch, water protection and camera are enough of an upgrade for me. Just don't have £300 toy money to do the deed. Some people need flames on the case, so it's not only obvious to themselves but to others that they're using the best there is.

There is none as it stands, why do you think i don't own one...

As for lost ear buds and dongles, can we get over it and move on now? You don't have to use the ear pods if you don't want to, you're free to use any of the other multitude of bluetooth headphones that are much less loosable if you're particularly careless.

And dongles... how can you in one breath criticise Apple for not innovating and then proceed to bitch and moan about the fact they've done away with a 20 year old comms standard in favour of using wireless?

I could live with an Android device and do need a new one for next year, I'm a heavy G apps user so it's simple to switch the basic stuff.

I'd like a pixel because nobody would know I'd switched until I start swearing and throw it on the ground, which is why I need a new one.

You wouldn't have to throw your headphones away though

Pixel works great with Bluetooth headphones, not as good as the W1 chip but great.

Exactly the same feeling here.
Being waterproof is a bonus as I am often out in serious weather with mine. But thats about it really.

I guess the taptic engine is nice.
I dont seem to care for 3D touch.

Meh...
Biggest downgrade for me, most wont care about. And its the fact the home button is no longer a button... and I really needed a button!

I see that, I don't regret not upgrading and I'm on a 6+.

There's lots of new stuff that I'd really like, force touch, taptic, dual camera, stereo speakers, but 'really like' isn't enough to get my toy money right now.

I'm not a big fan of the new "button" either to be fair. The phone side by side for performance on my 6s is identical.

I've literally gained water proofing, but if you look at the 6s it's actually quite water proof, unless you take it swimming.
