OK *****, Apple Radio is launching in 5 minutes, you can't get it without this update and you won't know that unless someone tells you.

but you said the updates are automatic, so why would people need to worry about upgrading it for the radio?

Jack i presume u can't use apple music on iMac in Yosemite yet ?

I can get the albums on my Phone add it to my music then see it on the iTunes list on the IMAC, but i can't figure how to do it from IMAC... any ideas ?

i think iTunes doesn't have the update yet, i presume its coming today still on 12.1

about auto update yes my apps do but i never do a OPPSYS auto as it can take the phone offline for a good 20 mins.... same with android too... always mother it through

Ain't broke, don't fix.

Or in my case, its broke and the update will probably make it worse.

(battery dying - sort of - one day its fine, then another day its flat in a few hours without even using it, was fine before the one update and a subsequent update since has made it worse! )

Always update, it might not seem broke but the update always contains fixes. Get a new battery, fitted for a tenner!

I thought I would see what Apple radio was like so I searched for it on Tunein and it's all podcasts at the moment.

Don't think I will update my iPad as the new update gets rid of home sharing and considering my account is on my missus and daughters iPads I have no idea if it will screw theirs up?

The Family Sharing thing is quite controversial, I don't know the details but know a lot of people are upset.
