Default AirPlay dongle for TVs

Talk to me about these, are they any good? Any downfalls or reliability issues?
I basically want to AirPlay movies from my iPad to the bedroom tv.
I have Apple TV downstairs which I use but want to do the same in bedroom without the the need of ATV box as bedroom tv is fixed onto wall and there'd be nowhere to put box.
This dongle thingy would be just right.
Anyone got one and how are they?
Or any other suggestions please.

It needs to be wifi, what's velcro.
Might try that chrome cast as I've read more and it seems to stream/mirror from iOS device but not sure if its AirPlay, think you have to download cast streaming app.
If not I can always take it back

I have chromecast and it doesnt mirror the ipad but it does cast from bbc Iplayer, netflix and Plex. Plex works out well as it will cast everything on my pc and it doesnt have to be in ipad format

Ah, I see. It needs to mirror from my iPad as I watch movies from moviebox, cartoon4kids app and other websites.
I hardly use my laptop anymore.
So chromecast is no good for me then?

How about one of these? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=161397895571

Are you saying, 'buy another Apple tv' for upstairs and Velcro it to back of telly?

Well I'm thinking I may just have to buy another ATV for bedroom as at least I know it works, but wasn't sure about miracast dongle.
Just thought there was a cheaper alternative than apples £79 tv as I already have one downstairs.

I bought my missus Apple tv and she never uses it so I think I may take it for one of the rooms I watch TV and give her one of the spare android boxes as I think they are more suited to her.

I've got a Now TV box side-loaded with Plex and a fair few apps from the Unsupported App Store. I'm tempted to also get a Roku 3 for the main TV, to run also run Plex.
