i just had my licence de-restricted from 33bhp to full power last month so am hoping to get an RVF400 or similar sports 400. Before that i was riding a Honda VT250.

My dad just bought a new BMW R1150R with servo assisted brakes and ABS. My uncle also rides a VFR750.

Yep, have had a Thundercat, ZX6R, GS500E, R1 & currently ride a new
VFR800 VTEC.

Do 12-15000 miles a year - none of this girly dry weather only/Sunday only.

All these bikes and only been riding 3.5 years.

Adam - I'm not so sure I get less hassle from the police on the bike than I do in the car. Have you travelled to the Lord Derby, Chelsea bridge, or Boxhill? The police are everywhere, and they have been known to pull people en-route to these destinations for "random spot-checks". This of course normally results in paperwork being given out for exhausts, number plates, etc....

In answer to your initial question, I ride a Thundercat, and my soon to be wife rides a RVF400. The RVF400 is a very nice bike, and has a lurvely sound to it when it's on the move.

i go to chelsea bridge a lot, but have kinda stopped goin now after seeing 2 major accidents, 1 fatal, and one i dunno the result of as the guy was taken away in an ambulance.

also a few weeks back i was at box hill in the car, and we decided to go to guildford afterwards. on the way to g'ford 3 bikes overtook us and as we came round the corner one of the bikes had a head on collision with a car. we were first on the scene and tried to help, but the woman was already dead. her helmet was take off and a stream of blood went down the road. was a nasty sight the bike was all but brand new as well and was completely sqaushed. the car driver was in a bad way as well.

This is my toy, a VTR1000...

I haven't had much hassle from the police on the bike or in the scoob to be honest (touch wood). A couple of years back I was pulled twice in one month on the bike, one of those occasions I was having some fun with an M3 at silly speeds (ahem, private road so my own fault really.

Haven't been pulled in the scoob once yet (touches lots of wood) but I've been followed a few times especially by Thames Valley Police. This one time (at band camp ) they tailed me for about 20 miles up the motorway whilst countless mercs, vectras, beemers etc flew up at 95 and jumped on the brakes at the last minute when they saw Plod. Ho hum.

I have a couple of bikes that I use for our track days, but my main one is the R1 I have. Many changes to it for suspension brakes, engine, and stuff...Too much money spent, I think there is a pattern emerging here!

How do you add a picture?

Now if anyone else here has a Cagiva Gran Canyon I will give them free beers for a week! Tis a 900 with a Duke engine, and I have only ever seen one other one in a year!

I reckon it saves me a day (sic) a week travelling to work in London, compared to using public transport!

Spits back hard through its airbox a bit - anyone else have the Duke engine suffer from this.

Ohh and how can I connect the Scoob's Bel revenue camera detector up to it - anyone done it?

I haven't had a bike for 6 years and last month bought a Kawasaki ER-5 to 'learn the ropes' again.
So far so good, it's a cheap & cheerfull way to get at least 1 yrs NCB, then next year I'll get a Honda CB900 Hornet (awesome bike)

bros2

Yep, the Blade boot, tis indeed a marvellous thing. Wish the Storm had one.

Tank range...yeah, crap compared to a lot of other bikes, but when you've got twin 48mm flatslides guzzling juice like it's goin out of fashion though, whaddya expect...

Never been a problem for me, I usually get between 100 and 110 miles to reserve, which is only 10 or 15 shy of my mate on his 95 Blade.

I have a GSXR1000 and love it to bits.
Mind you it was crap until I got rid of the stock steering damper and put a progressive one on :-)
