hi, very greatful if anyone could answer this.

i know how the old style of bosch le-jetronic work, the ones with the flap, but how does the hot-wire one work on a scooby?

i.e. how does a wire sense air flow, and change the signal to a voltage?

thanks, ian.

UKLT,
What happens is that the airflow over the wire will cool it down and therefore change its resistance. I believe that the hot wire is used as one leg in a wheatstone bridge type arrangement (I think, electronics is not my forte). It is the change in resistance that alters the voltage output signal to the ECU to let it know how much air is flowing
