Was putting a new air filter in this lunchtime when I found this lurking in the bottom of the airbox.

Oh, it also had a *** end in it.

Figured it was surplus. It's now in my bin. Theories here at work range from a scouring pad to part of a vacuum cleaner. Funnily enough, at a rolling road recently, they told me the car was running a bit rich and was losing power at high revs. I wonder...

Looks like a piece of Scotch cloth to me....the type that gets used in paint shops to key a surface prior to receiving paint/laquer.......

noticed any respray work on your motor ?? possibly to the offside wing ??

just a thought/theory....
