Policeman booked for illegal parking
A policeman has been booked for parking illegally in south Wales as he sat in a van trying to catch speeding motorists.
The Pc employed by Gwent Police was given a £30 fine for parking on a single yellow line at Cwm, Ebbw Vale, by an officer from his own force.
The detector van is jointly operated by the Gwent and South Wales forces.
Assistant Chief Constable Bill Horse, of Gwent Police, said: "We can confirm that the driver of a Mid and South Wales Area Safety Camera Partnership vehicle was recently issued with a fixed penalty notice."
Well I'll be jiggered. I've spotted, on two occasions, a "detector van" being operated outside the local copshop. Sly gitz.
