I'm currently driving a MY00 wagon and would like to try and do something to improve the handling a bit and wondered if anyone had the subaru dealer suspension upgrade (the bilstein/eibach one) done, did it significantly improve handling and how much did it cost?

Yes, I've also looked at Leda 'B' option from scoobysport, but I'd like my warranty to remain intact

Thanks
Andrew

It's not bad but way overpriced IMHO. Isn't it about £1200? For that money you could get fully adjustable suspension - would have warranty implications though....

£1200 does seem a bit steep, but I'm not overly suprised if it's that much.

Thumbs up

I have this set-up fitted to my car. It was on there when I brought the car so I can't say how good it is compared to standard. I have an invoice for the work and I think it was about £1350. One thing I have noticed (touch wood), is the tyre wear is even and the alignment has been fine.
Do you know if this kit actually lowers the car?. I've been trying to find out for insurance purposes.
Cheers.
Ian.

Ouch! this price gets better and better
I believe it does lower the car, I'm not sure by how much though.

HM8,

It does lower the car a little - a very similar amount to the Eibach kit you can buy elsewhere.

I'd say it does improve the handling a reasonable amount, though not, IMHO ( ), £1200's worth.

Spoke to dealer and to confuse matters they do two differrent ones

Pro at £995 and performance at £775, both excluding VAT and both cost £220 to fit, again exluding VAT. Bloke said the one they sell is the performance one and improves handling without a much harsher ride and described the pro ones as like driving on rocks.
