Question

Probably been asked before, possibly by me!

Recommendations for a 90k service in the maidenhead area. Will hit the 90k this weekend, so I'd better do something

Oh, and it needn't be main dealer - I'm looking for a cheaper option, and the car's well out of warranty. Plus it had a cambelt 5k ago, so I don't see much point in having it changed again!

Cheers,
Mark.

Thumbs up

Or could be worth giving Scoobysport a call to compare costs

Plantie was also on about a company in Newbury that were quite good in his opinion "scooby4u"?

Ian

ps the Saab is going great TY

Scoobysport Luv to, but its a helluva distance!

Already got Subaru4you, PE, Is Mill lane, or something like that around here, if they do servicing? Oh, and SGT - No (cost grounds only)

Glad the saab's good btw., kinda miss her in a daft way, funny how attached you get to a lump of metal

No probs at all, I don't want to slander SGT, I've never used them!!

The car is out of warranty, and I don't see the need to pay main dealer prices, when a decent independant can do the work as well, for less money.

www.Subaru4you.co.uk are excellent, been there a few times now and can only say good things, also miles cheaper than a main dealer.

Question

Dan

I would be careful about saying they are 'miles cheaper' - as they are not!! Mill Lane were cheaper for me, last year. Might have changed now as Mill Lane are quoting big money for the 30k - much higher than Simpsons at Swindon, for example.

I think the rates change, who was cheaper last year may not be this.

I may give Subaru4u a go when my car is out of warranty - but, in all honesty, if there is only a few pounds difference then I would rather see an 'Official dealer' stamp in the book - re-sale and all that!

Pete

I'll second Richards comments on Risboro Four Wheel Drive. Dave West has been looking after my WRX for three years now and always does a good and reasonably priced job.

Richard Work - snap on the 45,000 miles What do you drive, I may have seen it at Daves?

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

What a coincidence I've also been using Dave for 3 years too !

At the moment it is a Black 94 WRX - standard except a Blitz exhaust/Dump Valve and an Apexi Filter. Its up for sale now... but I'm getting another Scoob maybe a STi 7

What have you got?

Richard

Hi Richard

Spooky, I've got a black 95WRX
Full Scoobysport system, Link ECU, Forge dump, just removed the Blitz induction and gone back to ITG.
I am also considering a change, I was after the STI5 Type R that Dave had for sale but didn't have the time to sort out the sale of mine and he didn't want another car in p/x

Sempers, sorry about hijacking your thread, but as you can see Dave West is well worth a visit

Cheers

Dave

I thought he still had it for sale...? He was thinking of keeping it for himself a couple of weeks a go, but he could be persuaded... That car is bloody fast 145mph+ and that's on the type R high gearing! I must get hime to take me out in it next time I'm over.

See ya around,

Richard

p.s. let me know if you know anyone that's after a 94WRX its a minter
